DON QUIJOTE

Sancho, my friend, since the invasion of England will take a while, let´s kill a little time doing an excercise with the past simple. It´s about Vikings.

That´s very true. In the year 922, I met a group of vikings in Bulgaria. I was the ambassador of the Caliph of Baghdad. They were merchants. And the following is an exercise on how vikings washed themselves.

ERIC THE RED

But we Vikings admit progress. Today, our saunas are famous all over the world because they are very clean and healthy. Look below! That´s a scandinavian sauna!

DON QUIJOTE

Sancho, you were right! That´s Old Nick´s cauldron!

¡Sancho, tenías razón! ¡Son las calderas de Pedro Botero!

SATAN

I! I am Old Nick. And that´s not my cauldron! Let´s make things clear. And by the way, I´m letting you know we don´t admit Finns in hell. So if there are any among you, don´t bother knocking with battering rams. We´re fed up with you!

¡Yo! Yo soy Pedro Botero.

I´m also in a film. In my film, I look like this.

Yo también salgo en una película. En la película mi aspecto es este.

NAUTA

We Romans have always loved to bathe. You can still see our baths in many parts of the world, including Spain. But the most famous are Caracalla´s baths, in Rome.

MICHAEL

I only have one question to ask. Draw an X on the answer you like best.

Is progress hot? ¿Mola el progreso?

____ Yes, it´s really hot. _____No, my thing is being a troglodyte.

____ Sí, mola mazo. _____No, lo mío es ser troglodita.

If you answered yes, you won an Irish blessing. You can claim it on St. Patrick´s day, maybe along with a bit of green candy. If you answered no, what are you doing on the Internet? Off to the caves with you!

¡Ale! ¡A las cavernas!
