From Lark Rise to Candleford

This bucolic, bittersweet and very Victorian tv series is about a rural post office route that goes from Candleford, a small town with certain pretensions to Lark Rise, a rather poor hamlet that is no less proud of itself. It introduces us to a great number of characters who are at the very least curious types and who almost always solve their differences in a civilized manner, which is something to be admired. If you are looking for some very English material to use in class, we heartily recommend this series.  

De Lark Rise a Candleford  (Del Vuelo de la Alondra al Vado de la Candela) 

Esta serie bucólica, agridulce y muy victoriana trata de una preciosa ruta de correo rural que va de Candleford, un pueblo con ciertas pretensiones, a Lark Rise, una pedanía bastante pobre pero no menos orgullosa. Nos presenta a personajes cuanto  menos curiosos que casi siempre consiguen resolver sus diferencias de forma pacífica, lo cual siempre es de admirar. Si estáis buscando material muy inglés que utilizar en clase, la recomendamos con entusiasmo.
