I´m December. It´s too cold for me to leave my house. I´ll wish you a Merry Christmas from here. For many years there has not been so terrible a winter. Look at the tracks of the little satyr. It´s like a poem by Louys says: "His little cleft footprints alternate like holes in a snow white robe." Button up your overcoats!

Soy Diciembre. Hace demasiado frío para que salga de mi casa. Os deseo una Feliz Navidad desde aquí. Durante muchos años no ha habido un invierno tan crudo como este. Mira las pisadas del pequeño sátiro. Es como dice el poema de Louys: "Las huellas de sus pequeños cascos hendidos van alternándose como rotos en un níveo manto." ¡Abrigáos bien!

Hi. I´m November. Chrysanthemums are my flower. Their name comes from the Greek words "chrysos," which means gold, and "anthos," which means flower.

September and October

Howdy! I´ve been harvesting grapes. In my vineyard. That´s why I´m just here to say goodbye and why some kids start school later than they should.

¡Hola! He estado vendimiando la uva. En mi viñedo. Por eso sólo estoy aquí para despedirme y por eso algunos chicos empiezan a venir al instituto mas tarde de lo normal.

Say ´bye! I´m the one who gets to say howdy, because it´s almost tomorrow. I´m going to harvest my pumpkins. In my pumpkin patch. I´ve been harvesting pumpkins since Columbus discovered America. By the way, Spain paid him to do that. And he did it in October. On the 12th.
Despídete. Me toca a mi decir hola, porque es casi mañana. Voy a cosechar calabazas. En mi calabazal. He cosechado calabazas desde que Colón descubrió America. Por cierto, España le pago para que lo hiciera. Y lo hizo en Octubre. El día doce.

August and Friend /Agosto y una amiga.

Hi, I´m August. Here I am with a friend. If you think we have a weird tan, it´s because we only swim on the surface from sunset to sunrise. We´re not vampires. We ´re scared of what the sun can do to us nowadays. If you are braver than we are, remember to use a lotion or sunblock or whatever it´s called with a number at least as high as 70 on the label.

Hola, soy Agosto. Estoy aquí con una amiga. Si pensaís que tenemos un bronceado muy raro, es porque sólo nadamos en la superficie desde la puesta del sol hasta el amanecer. No somos vampiros. Tenemos miedo de lo que el sol pueda hacernos hoy en día. Antes no era así. Si sois más valientes que nosotros, acordaros de comprar una loción o crema o como se llame con un factor de protección con un número por lo menos tan alto como el 70 en la etiqueta.

Well, I´m June. And it´s my month. So leave! It´s my turn now. I´m famous for busting out all over and if you don´t leave peacefully I´m busting you out of my space!

Hi! I´m March. If I come in like a lion, I go out like a lamb. If I come in like a lamb, I go out like a lion. In Spanish we say that when March is like May, May is like March.

Hola, soy Marzo. Si entro como un león, me voy como un cordero. Si entro como un cordero, me voy como un león. En español decimos que cuando marzo mayea, mayo marcea.

February says hi. / Febrero dice hola.

Hi, I´m February. You get to see the storks in February, on St. Blaise´s Day. If the global warming hasn´t made you see them all year round. Saint Blaise protects kids with sore throats. Don´t shout too much and you´ll make things easier for him. For everybody else too.
