It is September and we are preparing material for autumn. Better early than never, so we have borrowed this post from The Rosy Tree Blog, that prepared it for Summerween. And what is that? Not content with Midsummer Night or St. John's Eve, fanatics start celebrating Halloween any moment from June to September. New trend. 

Es septiembre y estamos preparando material para para el otoño. Mejor temprano que nunca, así que hemos tomado prestada esta entrada del Blog del Árbol Sonrosado (The Rosy Tree Blog). Fue preparada para Summerween. ¿Y eso qué es? Pues como no les basta con la fiesta del comienzo del verano, ni con la de San Juan, algunos fanáticos comienzan a celebrar Halloween cualquier día del verano. Nueva moda.  

Some Beings Most Odd is a collecting game. It consists of fourteen groups of cards. Each group in turn consists of six cards. The winner will be the player that has managed to collect the most complete groups. To play, deal out four cards to each player. Leave the rest in a pile in the center of the table. The first player will then ask any of the other players for a card, saying, for instance. "Please hand me a group four card." If he does get a number four card.he can keep asking for cards until he doesn't get a card he has asked for. If he can't have the card he has asked for because the player who has been asked for it doesn't have it, the first player will take a card from the central pile. Then the next player can ask for a card and so on. So on until all the cards in the central pile have been taken. At this point the players all show their cards and the winner is, as we have just said, whoever has the most complete or more complete groups of cards. One needn't wait till the end if he has a complete group of cards to show it. This player can announce he has the whole group as soon as he obtains it and then put it aside, or the game might never end. 

We have to add that Group Number Four, Shapeshifters, says it has seven and not six cards. That is because some people have been playing with the Universal Shapeshifter Card. This card can turn into anything it wants to and does so most annoyingly every time. If a player can prove he has it, in whatever shape it has chosen to take, this player gets an extra five points. Or you can just ignore the seventh card and play with six only. It does deserve to be ignored for being so annoyingly unrecognizable.  

Algunos Seres Bien Raros es un juego de colección. Consiste en 14 grupos de cartas. Cada grupo a su vez está compuesto por seis cartas. El ganador será el que más grupos completos obtenga. Para jugar, dar cuatro cartas a cada jugador. Dejar las sobrantes en el centro de la mesa. El primer jugador pide a otro cualquiera de los jugadores una carta, diciendo, por ejemplo, "Por favor dame una carta del grupo cuatro." Si consigue esa carta, puede seguir pidiendo cartas a los demás jugadores hasta que no consiga lo que ha pedido. En ese caso cogerá una carta del centro de la mesa y el siguiente jugador podrá pedir cartas como lo hizo el primero. Y así hasta que se acaben las cartas que haya en el centro de la mesa. En ese momento los jugadores enseñarán sus cartas y el que más grupos haya completado gana. No hace falta retener un grupo entero de cartas hasta el final. En cuanto se obtiene, se puede enseñar y apartar. O esto podría no acabar nunca.

Tenemos que hacer constar que el Grupo Número Cuatro, Los Metamorfos, dice  tener una séptima carta en lugar de las habituales seis. Esto es porque ha habido quienes han estado jugando con el Metamorfo Universal. Esa carta puede transformarse en cualquier cosa, lo que resulta muy molesto. Si un jugador logra demostrar que tiene esa carta, sea en la forma que sea que se manifieste, obtiene cinco puntos más. O podéis ignorar eso de la séptima carta y jugar con seis como con cualquier otro grupo. La verdad, esa cartita se merece que la ignoren por hacerse tan irreconocible.
