Not since the Cucullati Scandal. After Alpin shouted murder inducing a raging mob of neighbours to try to storm the bunker and lynch the hooded geniuses, Mr. Binky asked me to keep away from the forest for a time so Artemius wouldn't have to resign.

No desde el escándalo de los cuculatos. Después de que Alpin gritase asesinato induciendo a una muchedumbre de vecinos enfurecidos a intentar tomar el bunker y linchar a los genios encapuchados, el Sr. Binky me pidió que me alejase del bosque durante un tiempo para que Artemio no tuviese que dimitir.

They were ready to move to another forest but Nauta persuaded them it was best to stay. He said it was all just a misunderstanding. They've moved to another part of Minced Forest, though. They're not monsters.They are only mad about science. All they want is to investigate without being bothered. But I think they´re not giving out any more free food, to avoid being sued.

Estaban decididos a mudarse a otro bosque pero Nauta les convenció de que era mejor malo conocido. Les explicó que todo era un malentendido. Pero sí que se han mudado a otra zona del Bosque Triturado. No son monstruos. Sólo están locos por la ciencia. Lo único que quieren es poder investigar sin que les molesten. Pero creo que ya no van a repartir comida gratis, para evitar que les demanden.

Her apples had never done anyone harm before. They were marvellously good for everyone. She was so upset by what happened to me that she has sworn to discover what went wrong and remedy it. I still get to see her now and then so she can test her apples on me. I wanted to be her troubadour but ended up being her guinea pig. Anyway, I've kept what was left of my apple and had it covered with enamel and studded with stones and turned into a brooch. I'm going to give it to Rosina to let her know I have no hard feelings.

Sus manzanas nunca habían hecho daño a nadie antes. Eran maravillosamente buenas para todos. Se llevó un disgusto tan grande cuando me sentó aquella fatal que ha jurado descubrir qué fue mal y remediarlo. Todavía la veo de vez en cuando para que me haga pruebas. Yo quería ser su trovador pero he acabado siendo su cobaya. De todas formas guardé lo que quedaba de mi manzana y la he hecho esmaltar y adornar con piedras y convertir en un broche. Se la voy a regalar a Rosina para que sepa que no estoy resentido.

I need to visit a city but I can't go alone because I've never been to one and they say cities are very dangerous for us woodland creatures. You ought to know some about surviving there, eh? Would you be my guide?

Es muy difícil ser romántico entre científicos. Pero tú sabrás en lo que te metes. Eres un niño sofisticado. Eh, ¿sigues viviendo en una gran ciudad? Necesito ir a una ciudad, pero no puedo ir solo porque nunca he estado en una y dicen que las ciudades son muy peligrosas para las criaturas de los bosques. Tú debes saber algo sobre como sobrevivir ahí, ¿verdad? ¿Serías mi guía?
