I’ll pay you far more than anybody gives any other cook, but it has to be in fairypence. You’re being prejudiced and you’re being stupid about fairypence. More and more people are taking them, and soon everybody will want them. Want? Covet is the word! That’s my last offer.

You forced me to choose one from among those Magpie had. I told you I didn’t trust the appliances Magpie sells. But you said she owed you a favor and had to give you a good bargain.

Me obligaste a elegirlo de entre los que tenía Urraca. Yo te dije que no me fío un pelo de los electrodomésticos que vende Urraca. Pero tú insististe en que ella te debe favores y te iba a hacer un buen precio.



This is not the baker's oven in question but they look like this. /  Este no es el horno de pastelería en cuestión, pero tienen este aspecto.

Let me see. I’ve removed a couple of trays and there seems to be nothing wrong here. This is probably just a question of some crumbs blocking a tube, supposing this kind of oven has tubes. I’m sure I can fix it simply by blowing.

Vamos a ver. He retirado un par de bandejas y parece que no hay nada que no funcione aquí. Probablemente sea cuestión de unas migas que han atascado un tubo, suponiendo que esta clase de horno tenga tubos. Seguro que lo arreglo soplando.

Immortal as you might be, it is best to unplug an appliance before toying with it. And safer to call a technician.

Por inmortal que seas, es mejor desenchufar un aparato antes de juguetear con él. Y es más prudente llamar a un técnico.

We can’t eat him. That would be going too far. Although I feel he has finally achieved one of his goals. He now looks good enough to eat. We’d better lock him in the safe before I bite one of those elfin ears of his off.

No podemos comérnoslo. Sería pasarse. Aunque la verdad, creo que por fin ha logrado uno de sus objetivos. Da toda la impresión de estar buenísimo. Será mejor que le guardemos en la caja fuerte antes de que le muerda una de esas orejas de elfo.

When the captain is out, the first mate is commander. We’ll have to look after Salty’s belongings for him. It’s the least we can do till he recovers, supposing he does. Angelino, drop by Tibet and ask Jamie if he would like to turn this complex into a spa-like place for healing and meditation. We’d charge in fairy favors so anyone who really needs to can come. Shall we keep the casino? We could move it to the hills and remove from circulation all the fairypence players lose there.

Donde no manda capitán, manda el segundo de abordo. Tendremos que cuidar las pertenencias de Saladito por él. Es lo menos que podemos hacer hasta que se recupere, suponiendo que lo haga. Angelino, acércate al Tíbet y pregúntale a Santichu si quiere convertir este lugar en una especie de spa dedicado a la sanación y la meditación. Cobraríamos en hada favores de los de siempre para que pueda acudir cualquiera que realmente lo necesite. ¿Conservamos el casino? Lo podemos trasladar a las colinas y sacar fuera de circulación todos los hadapeniques que los jugadores pierdan.
