He was sitting under a tree vomiting. He´s never done that before. Never once in his life. He said something about some elves, so I looked about and sure enough, there were elves surrounding us. I couldn´t see them a first. I had to look really close because they were so tiny. They were like part of the vegetation and could hardly be distinguished.

Porque sí comes, pagas, y sí perdemos nuestras casas, nos trasladamos a tu cerebro, y sí está vacío, jamás nos podrás echar. Y ni te imaginas lo que podemos hacer ahí dentro. ¡Ay de los que tienen el cerebro vacío! Lo menos que se puede hacer es pedir permiso para comer las casas de otros, aunque estamos pensando autorizar únicamente a quienes tengan un doctorado en antropología.

But one thing is being scared and another is being harmed. And it´s not just what happens here, it´s what happens outside. There are those who threaten to cut it down because it´s a dangerous place. But the ones that shout the most, aren´t scared at all. They only want to make money out of this. Sell the wood, sell the land. I promised the Leafies I would protect their wee homes if they forgave Alpin. And I mean to do it.

Este bosque necesita un guarda malamente. Aquí ocurren algunas cosas que no deberían ocurrir en ningún lado. Sé que los bosques deben ser miedosos. Es parte de su encanto, pero una cosa es estar asustado y otra que te hagan daño. Y no es sólo lo que pasa aquí, también es lo que ocurre ahí fuera. Hay quienes amenazan con talar el bosque porque es un lugar peligroso. Pero los que gritan más fuerte no están asustados en absoluto. Sólo quieren hacer dinero con todo esto. Vender la madera, vender la tierra. Les prometí a los Hojuelas que protegería sus casitas si perdonan a Alpin, y tengo intención de hacerlo.
