With soles and souls uplifted climb the Idan Height,

We deserve to have our own day and in this blog we´re going to have it. Those of us who found out about this in time have voted, and the result is, Pico della Mirandola´s birthday, which is February 24, is from today Universal Swot Day. Hail, Swots! Hail, Pico! Way to go, intellectuals.
Those of you who have only recently decided to become swots may not know who Pico is.
Well you won´t go to bed tonight without having learnt something new.
Pico was a guy who was born about a thousand five hundred years ago,
And there was nothing in the world he didn´t know.
His name was Giovanni Francesco, but people called him the walking encyclopaedia. May he be an example to us all. He wrote the famous "Oration on the Dignity of Man, " which is considred the Manifesto of the Renaissance. That was after the Dark Ages.
May everyone who stumbles in the darkness of ignorance finally see the light in the path of Swots.
