You have to start somewhere. Yes, yes, she´s trying to defy me! You know very well how hard I have worked to make homes in Apple Island for all those ungrateful garbage fairies. Better homes than they had too. But they don’t want to move there. They´re stubborn microscopic mules that insist on remaining in the mortal world at any cost, causing all kinds of trouble with the mortals.

Por alguna parte se empieza. ¡Sí, sí que me está retando! Tú sabes muy bien lo duro que he trabajado para conseguir un hogar en Isla Manzana para todas esas ingratas hadas de la basura. Un hogar mejor que el hogar que tenían, además. Pero no quieren mudarse allí. Son tercas mulas microscópicas que insisten en permanecer en el mundo de los mortales a cualquier precio, provocando enfrentamientos con los humanos.

Well, that depends on how you look at things. On the one hand I could say the trash belongs to the humans, because they, without doubt, have created it. But they made it partly with materials the fairies consider their property.

Pues…depende de cómo se mire. Se podría decir que es de los humanos, porque ellos la han creado, sin duda. Pero la han fabricado en parte con material que las hadas consideran suyo.

So we can head for court to settle that! Let´s see what my husband thinks of this.

Are you saying this because you’ve been drinking? To begin with, she’s not a normal kid. She´s a mad scientist. I don’t trust any kind of scientists any more than they do me. Nor should you. They deny our existence. And to make matters worse, we haven’t even been able to look her straight in the eyes.  Or have you?

¿Dices eso porque has estado bebiendo? Para empezar, esa no es una chica normal. Es una científica chiflada. Yo no me fío de ningún científico porque ellos no creen en mí. Ni deberías hacerlo tú. Esos niegan nuestra existencia. Y para remate, no hemos ni podido mirarla a esa directamente a los ojos. ¿O es qué los has visto tú?

Well…no. But I feel they must be big and blue. It´s what one expects.

Pues…no. Pero me imagino que deben ser grandes y azules. Es de esperar.

Are you out of your mind too? The least she’s got is crazed eyes. That´s why she always keeps them covered.  It could be worse, too. She might have mutant alien viper ray eyes that strike you dead on sight. 

Who knows what she may have done to herself while experimenting?

¿Es qué estás chiflado tú también? Esa lo menos que tiene son ojos de loca. Por eso los mantiene siempre ocultos. Podría ser peor. Podría tener ojos de rayo de víbora alienígena mutante. ¿Quién sabe lo que se habrá hecho a si misma experimentando?
