Aunt Rhodie / La tía Rosi



Some people call their aunts by their family name. So Rhody might be a last name, probably Scottish. But the auntie in this song might be called Rhoda, a once popular Greek name that means rose. 

Hay quienes llaman a sus tías por el apellido. Así que Rhody podría ser un apellido, probablemente  de origen escocés. Pero también podría ser que la tita de esta canción folklórica se llamase Rhoda, nombre que fue muy popular en otros tiempos y que viene del griego y significa rosa. Así que Rhodie sería Rosita.
