Of course we will! And you´re being unfair to Titania. At the age of five, fairy children know how to take care of themselves as well as any adult. It´s not Titania´s fault that Alpin is rather special.

Mum, Titania doesn´t build houses to get votes. She doesn´t need votes, because she´s never been elected queen or anything else. Nobody ever elected her to be anything. People say she is just a born organizer, a person who loves to organize things. She kept fixing people´s problems and they eventually started calling her queen.
Mamá, Titania no tiene que construir casas para conseguir votos. No necesita votos, porque nunca ha sido elegida reina ni cualquier otra cosa. Nadie jamás la ha elegido para ser nada de nada. La gente dice que sólo es una organizadora nata, una persona a la que le encanta organizarlo todo. I´m sure it´s feeling neglected. You haven´t eaten a bite to eat for so long there must be at least a month´s supply of your food in there.
No tienes ni idea de lo que estás diciendo. Pero es cierto que siempre le ha encantado meterse en los asuntos de los demás. No way. I´m not moving from here until you name a day for our trip to Avalon. And it had better be today. I don´t want squatters on my property. If they live there for twenty years and I don´t file a complaint, my place will be legally theirs. I want to claim my house now!

Where did you here that? On Mortal TV? That can´t happen in Avalon, because there is no one homeless there. Nobody invades anyone else´s property.

I knew there had to be a catch! Titania wants to cheat us out of the houses she promised! Well, you can start by bringing everything I need to take right here because I´m not moving from this spot in case you sneak off for Avalon while I´m gone.

Fiona, it breaks my heart to have to tell you this, but Alpin can´t go to Avalon. In the first place, it´s not really Avalon. They call it that because a ladies´gardening club took to growing apple orchards within huge rock crystal greenhouses on a windy spot there. But it´s far more than a field full of appletrees. It´s the Isle of the Blessed, and that´s exactly what everyone there is. Happy. Happy beyond belief. You can´t live in the Isle of the Blessed if you aren´t happy or if you make anyone else unhappy.
Fiona, me parte el corazón tener que decirte esto, pero Alpin no puede ir a Avalon. En primer lugar, no es realmente Avalon. Lo llaman así porque un club de jardinería de señoras se dedicó a plantar huertos llenos de manzanos dentro de enormes invernaderos de cristal de roca en un rincón ventoso de la isla. Pero no es sólo un campo lleno de manzanos. Es la Isla de los Benditos, y eso es exactamente lo que son todos los que viven allí. Felices. Increiblemente felices. Nobody asks you to leave if you are unhappy, or if you have problems you can keep to yourself. But seeing everybody else so happy makes you feel so out of place that you end up leaving on your own. That´s how I myself left. I wasn´t happy before I married your father.
Nadie te pide que te vayas si no eres feliz o si tienes problemas que sabes guardarte para ti. Pero ver a los demás tan contentos hace que te sientas fuera de lugar y acabas yéndote por tu propio pie. Así me fui yo de allí. Yo no era feliz antes de casarme con tu padre.

I don´t think that can happen there. It makes people who want to make others unhappy so angry that they end up leaving too. I don´t know how it happens but they end up in exile on this side of the Other World. Branna and you would probably have no problem living on the Isle of the Blessed even if you are vampires because you are discreet and prudent. They would probably give you homes close to the border so that you could slip in and out easily and go about your business out here. In time, you would probably never even need to leave. Your condition would change and you would be truly blessed too.
No creo que eso pueda ocurrir allí. Los que quieren hacer a los demás infelices se enfadan tanto al ver que no pueden que acaban yéndose de allí también. No se exactamente como ocurre pero acaban en el exilio, a este lado del Otro Mundo. Branna y tú probablemente no tendríais ningún problema en vivir allí, porque sois discretas y prudentes. Problablemente os darían casas cerca de la frontera para que pudieseis entrar y salir sin dificultad y dedicaros a lo vuestro aquí fuera. Con el tiempo, con el tiempo probablemente no necesitaríais salir de allí. Vuestra condición cambiaría y seríais benditas también.

possible.They don´t last long with their foster families. As soon as they have ruined their human families they desert them and go wreak havoc wherever they can. Which is never in the Isle of the Blessed. No changeling has ever been able to force his or her entry into the Land of the Strong Door.
Cuando nace un niño o niña dificil como Alpin, le cambian por un buen niño humano cuanto antes. No permanece mucho tiempo con su familia adoptiva. En cuanto ha arruinado a su familia humana la abandona y se va a liarla allá donde pueda. Pero nunca en la Isla de los Benditos. Ningún cambiado ha logrado forzar la entrada a la Tierra de la Puerta Fuerte.

So, today is Mr. Bulfinch´s birthday and the best tribute I can render is to show everybody what a terrible state my original copy of "Bulfinch´s Mythology" is in. But I can´t find it anywhere because it´s got wings and is always flying from one place to another. So I can´t scan and publish that here right now. Maybe it´s in my treehouse. I´ll check this afternoon.
