If you mean my crown, it is my privilege to wear it wherever and whenever I please. And I can´t take it off. What would people think? And if you feel you need to say something unpleasant to me smile when you say it. Like I do. I’m smiling because everybody is looking at us, but I will tell you sotto voce that I´m about to lose my patience. When your mother sees you, she´s sure to say I should have let her bring you up. As if I were to blame because you´ve never learnt how to behave when I take you out since you insist on holing up in your room like a beast in its winter lair toying with your computers and never want to go anywhere, not even to kids´ drinking parties. Well, I shouldn´t criticize you for this last.

Then the next furthest and so on till you get to the ones right next to the plate. Eating out can be very educational. It´s best to try new kinds of food, things you´ve never tasted before.

Luego los siguientes que estén más lejos hasta llegar por último a los que están casi tocando el plato. Comer fuera puede ser muy educativo. He´s not used to eating. He can´t know which foods disagree with him. Maybe he should watch it. Something might happen to him.

No está acostumbrado a comer. No puede saber que comidas le sientan mal. Quizás debería tener cuidado. Puede que le de un algo.

Nothing will happen to him. With all the junk they are feeding plants nowadays! This food is at least supposed to be excellent quality. Have you looked under the table in case there are mikes, Dad, or does your pride keep you from doing this?
